Jared Preslar in the Flood Light & Announcement
Jared Preslar started tattooing back in 1997 and has been the owner of Lucky Bamboo Tattoos in Layton Utah for the past 4 years. To know Jared’s shop is to understand a little more of Japanese culture and tradition. The walls, style and colour of the shop carry just as much Japanese culture to inspire as the name does. This focus comes directly from the man himself – originating from his love for Japanese martial arts. His passion expanded from there taking him to Mount Cobb and spending time with a Japanese tendai monk.
His passion for the Japanese culture is defined even further when you take a look at some of the artwork and tattoos he’s done incorporating Asian style themes. They are stunning, which is not unlike his other work. Japanese and Asian inspired pieces are not the only style Jared tattoos. He can pretty much do anything you desire but his other focus and passion is for black & grey portraits. These portraits are multi dimensional and crisp with detail. Jared’s overall work is rich and deep in colour and is incredible to look at for anyone who admires exceptional tattoo work.
At the Coeur d'Alene North Idaho Tattoo Expo in 2010 Jared won awards for Best Portrait and Best Asian Tattoo, which is quiet fitting as these are his two favorite styles. He is planning on attending the Seattle Tattoo Expo again this year and several others across the US and possibly Europe. He has promised to keep us posted on which Expos he will be visiting. Traveling to conventions and meeting other artists are two of the major draws for Jared in being a tattooist, but the biggest is that he gets to do what he loves, everyday.
We at Tattoo Tree are extremely grateful and excited to announce that Jared is going to be our new tattoo expert on our website. He brings with him - years of quality tattoo experience, high health standard practices and is liked mind for promoting both art & health to enthusiasts. Please help us welcome him and take a look at Jared’s new expert profile.
